INVOS® Clinical Center

The INVOS® Cerebral Oximeter system noninvasively and continuously monitors changes in the regional oxygen saturation of the predominately venous blood in the brain. The purpose of the Cerebral Oximeter is to immediately alert clinicians to periods of declining or inadequate cerebral oxygenation to allow corrective action and prevent injury.

The results of a recent randomized, prospective and blinded study using the INVOS Cerebral Oximeter brain oxygen monitoring system showed statistically significant reductions in both stroke and the overall number of adverse clinical outcomes when the monitoring system was used to help manage regional brain blood oxygen saturation in cardiac surgery patients.

CorRestore® Clinical Center

The CorRestore System includes the CorRestore Patch, an implant developed to help standardize an evolving surgical treatment, referred to as Surgical Ventricular Restoration, SVR, for certain patients with severe CHF. The CorRestore Patch is a repair device of a material and design specifically suited for SVR. It is a uniquely-designed bovine pericardial implant that has a ridged inner suture ring and a contoured outer rim, with a design made to achieve hemostasis (prevent bleeding). Cardiac surgeons using the technology are reporting excellent results for their patients.
